In accordance with religious teachings and with the aim of strengthening peace, social solidarity, and the spirit of Islamic brotherhood, officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, have peacefully and in accordance with Islamic law resolved 33 cases of disputes and hostility among families and tribes over the past three days in the provinces of Bamyan, Ghazni, Takhar, Badakhshan, Baghlan, Balkh, Paktika, Nangarhar, Laghman, and Sar-e-Pul, in coordination and cooperation with tribal elders and religious scholars.

These disputes and conflicts, which were mainly caused by family disagreements, tribal disputes, inheritance-related issues, and certain social misunderstandings, had the potential to escalate over time.

Local officials of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue investigated and addressed these cases and took the necessary measures to resolve them.

Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue in the aforementioned provinces held separate meetings with the families and parties involved.

During these meetings, they provided Islamic guidance and advice on the importance of peace, reconciliation, and strengthening brotherly relations.

They also emphasized the need to put an end to disputes, ensure mutual rights, and create conditions for peaceful coexistence.

During the meetings, the parties involved in the disputes and conflicts were encouraged to show forgiveness and patience, refrain from hatred and hostility, respect one another’s rights, maintain family ties, and give priority to peace and reconciliation over conflict.

It was also emphasized that the continuation of disputes and hostilities, in addition to harming family relationships, could have adverse social consequences and contribute to the spread of resentment, mistrust, and divisions among individuals and communities.

Meanwhile, tribal elders and religious scholars in these provinces also emphasized the importance and status of peace and reconciliation in Islam.

They called on the parties involved in the disputes to practice forgiveness, tolerance, patience, and good relations, describing peace and reconciliation as essential factors in strengthening Islamic brotherhood, social unity, and stability in society.
