Through the efforts of officials of the Ministry an eight-year-long dispute between two families in Nuristan Province was resolved

Following the efforts of officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, an eight-year-long feud between two families in the center of Nuristan Province, which had arisen over a plot of land and a mill, was peacefully resolved and brought to an end in accordance with Islamic Sharia rulings and the principles of justice and fairness.

The feud, which had continued for eight years between the two families in the provincial center, had caused disagreements, resentment, violence, and estrangement between the parties.

In addition to harming family relations, it had also had negative effects and consequences on the wider community.

After being informed of the case, officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, seriously investigated the matter.

Following comprehensive inquiries, they held meetings with the two parties to the feud in the presence of tribal elders and religious scholars.

During these meetings, the statements, claims, and views of both sides were carefully heard, and efforts were made to resolve the dispute in accordance with Islamic Sharia rulings.

As a result of these efforts, both parties, recognizing the importance of peace, brotherhood, and Islamic solidarity, and by letting go of their past disagreements and hostilities, agreed to end the eight-year feud and restore cordial and brotherly relations between their families.

The two parties, expressing satisfaction over the end of the feud, also thanked the officials of the Ministry for their tireless efforts toward reconciliation, ending hostilities, promoting peace, and creating an environment for greater solidarity between them.

The resolution of this feud in the center of Nuristan Province comes as ministry officials have previously resolved four disputes between tribes and families in the Duab and Want districts of the province through reconciliation efforts and in accordance with Islamic Sharia rulings.
