Promoting Religious and Moral Values: The Main Focus of the Muhtasibs’ Reform Programs During the Days of Eid al-Adha
During the blessed days of Eid al-Adha, the officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, organized extensive religious awareness and guidance programs across the country.
These initiatives aimed to promote Is/la/mic values, strengthen the spirit of brotherhood and social solidarity, and enhance public understanding of the rulings, virtues, and teachings associated with the Eid days.
The programs were conducted in mosques, public places, and community gatherings. During these events, emphasis was placed on the importance of piety, sincerity, self-sacrifice, respect for the rights of others, maintaining family ties, and assisting those in need. The officials (Muhtasibs) also explained the philosophy, wisdom, and objectives of sacrifice (Qurbani) in Is/la.m, stressing the observance of Is/la/mic principles and values in all aspects of life.
Citizens were encouraged to make the best use of the spiritual opportunities provided by the blessed days of Eid al-Adha.
Furthermore, religious scholars and community elders considered such programs effective in raising religious awareness, strengthening Is/la/mic values, and promoting social ethics. They welcomed and supported the continuation of these religious and educational activities.
It is worth noting that these religious awareness and reform programs will continue during and after Eid al-Adha to further enhance the religious, moral, and cultural awareness of people throughout the country.
