Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, have comprehensively addressed five legal cases involving women's rights related to dowry (Mahr) and maintenance (Nafaqah) in the provinces of Takhar, Ghazni, Kabul, Parwan, and Nimroz, as part of their efforts to safeguard the legitimate rights of women and respond to public complaints.

Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in the aforementioned provinces stated that, following the receipt of complaints from affected women, these cases were carefully investigated in accordance with the provisions of Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia and in full compliance with the principles, procedures, and regulations governing the complaints-hearing process.

As a result, the complainants' lawful rights concerning dowry and maintenance were secured, and their rights were fully restored.

It is worth noting that the handling of these cases comes at a time when, during the past three months alone, nearly one thousand other women, through the efforts of the Ministry’s personnel, have also been able to obtain their legitimate rights in matters related to inheritance, dowry, and maintenance.
