Facilitated marriage arrangements for two young women in the provinces of Nangarhar and Logar
In order to support the Islamic rights of women, promote Is/la/mic values, and remove obstacles to marriage, personnel (MUhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, in Nangarhar and Logar provinces facilitated the solemnization of Sh/ar/ia-compliant marriages for two young women with the full consent of both parties.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in the aforementioned provinces stated that, following the receipt of public complaints and a comprehensive review of the cases, the Ministry’s personnel made the necessary efforts and provided religious guidance regarding the Is/la/mic rights of women.
As a result, the existing problems were resolved, and the conditions were created for the lawful execution of the marriages in accordance with the rulings of Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia.
While handling these cases, the Ministry’s personnel (Muhtasibs) described marriage as one of the strongly emphasized traditions of Is/la/m and stressed that facilitating marriage and removing un-Is/la/mic obstacles play an effective role in strengthening the family institution, preserving religious values, and ensuring the social well-being and stability of society.
The Ministry’s officials (Muhtasibs) in the two provinces further added that the inspectors of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints will continue their efforts, within the framework of their religious responsibilities, to resolve the Sh/ar/ia-related concerns of the people and to help provide the conditions for a healthy life based on Is/la/mic teachings.
