Over the past two days, muhtasibs helped resolve more than 30 tribal and family disputes through peace and reconciliation in eight provinces

As part of the ongoing efforts of the officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, to reduce social tensions and resolve ethnic and family disputes, 35 cases of long-standing disputes and enmities among tribes and families in Daikundi, Nuristan, Bamyan, Kabul, Takhar, Sar-e Pol, Khost, and Ghazni provinces were resolved through peace and reconciliation, with the cooperation of religious scholars and tribal elders.

While addressing these disputes , the Ministry’s Muhtasibs urged the parties involved to forgive one another, exercise tolerance, respect each other’s rights, abandon resentment and hostility, and resolve their differences through Sharia-compliant means.

They also emphasized the importance of preserving Islamic brotherhood and ensuring peace and stability in society. As a result, all 35 cases of disputes and enmities were brought to an end.

Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue in these eight provinces stated that reconciliation among people and the establishment of peace among Muslims are important values in Islam.

They noted that in Surah Al-Hujurat, verse 10, the Holy Qur’an describes Muslims as brothers and commands reconciliation among them.

Meanwhile, tribal elders and the parties involved, who agreed to peace and reconciliation through the efforts of the Ministry’s Muhtasibs, expressed their appreciation for the activities of the Ministry’s personnel, particularly their efforts to resolve disputes and put an end to long-standing enmities. They pledged to live in an atmosphere of Islamic brotherhood, mutual understanding, and peaceful coexistence, and to prevent the recurrence of resentment and hostility.
