Women affected by violent conditions within their families have been freed from such circumstances.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue in the aforementioned provinces said that, following the registration of complaints by affected women, the cases were investigated by ministry officials.
Reconciliation meetings and mediation sessions were held with the families involved in an effort to resolve the disputes and address the existing problems.
As a result, the Sharia-based rights of the affected women were secured, and conditions were created for them to live safely and free from violence.
During the reconciliation meetings and awareness-raising programs with the families involved in the cases, ministry officials emphasized that oppression and violence against women and children are contrary to the principles and injunctions of Islamic Sharia, and that no one has the right to use force, abuse, or violence against family members, particularly women and children.
