Within the framework of implementing Is/lam/ic laws and in cooperation with various segments of society, the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, has carried out extensive and effective activities aimed at strengthening religious values, ensuring social order, promoting virtues, and preventing immoral acts.
Addressing Women's Sharia Rights
During the current week, personnel of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice handled 130 cases related to women’s Sh/ar/ia rights. Among these, 67 cases of abuses against women were prevented, 16 inheritance cases involving women were reviewed, 11 forced marriages were prevented, 11 dowries were restored, 10 alimony cases were addressed, arrangements were made for 7 Sh/ar/ia-compliant marriages, and 8 divorce cases were processed accordingly.                                                             Resolution of Disputes and Conflicts
Officials of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, in cooperation with religious scholars and tribal elders, successfully resolved 12 cases of enmity and 55 major and minor disputes among tribes and families in the capital and several provinces of the country during the current week, in accordance with Is/la/mic principles.
Arrest of Individuals Accused of Sorcery

As part of efforts to safeguard Is/la/mic values and prevent the spread of practices contrary to Sh/ar/ia, 23 individuals accused of sorcery were arrested this week in the provinces of Balkh, Logar, Kabul, Samangan, and Kandahar. Following preliminary investigations, the accused were referred to judicial and legal institutions for further Sh/ar/ia proceedings.
Holding Economic Meetings

To prevent hoarding, fraud in weights and measures, and to ensure compliance with Sh/ar/ia principles in trade, 213 reform and coordination meetings were held with traders and shopkeepers in various provinces during the week. In addition, more than ten tons of low-quality and expired food products were collected from markets and destroyed.
Public Awareness and Educational Gatherings

As part of the continued efforts of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing Complaints to promote good deeds, prevent wrongdoing, and combat harmful customs, 407 reform and awareness sessions were conducted across the country during the current week. These gatherings were attended by religious scholars, tribal elders, youth, and other segments of society.
