In Shamalzai District of Zabul Province, ministry officials successfully transformed a prolonged family feud into reconciliation and mutual understanding
Inspectors (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, in Zabul Province, in fulfillment of their social responsibilities, have peacefully resolved a seven-year-long land dispute between two families in the Zanzir area of Shamulzai District.
The conflict had resulted in the destruction of hundreds of solar power units belonging to both parties and had caused significant financial losses.
With the cooperation of members of the Council of Religious Scholars and a number of local tribal elders, the inspectors of the aforementioned department successfully mediated and settled the prolonged dispute, which had persisted for the past seven years over land ownership between the two families. The inspectors affirmed their commitment that no individual will be allowed to incite division based on ethnic or linguistic differences, and they will continue to make every effort to prevent incidents that could threaten the prevailing peace and spirit of brotherhood in the country.
It is noteworthy that the inspectors of this province have previously prevented dozens of ethnic and linguistic conflicts, and their efforts in this regard remain ongoing.
