Securing the Sh.ar.ia rights of eight women in matters of inheritance and dowry in the provinces of Sar-e Pol, Nimroz, Badghis, and Takhar

Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA,have comprehensively addressed eight legal cases concerning women in the areas of inheritance and dowry in the provinces of Sar-e Pol, Nimroz, Badghis, and Takhar, within the framework of ensuring women’s Sh/ar/ia rights and effectively handling public complaints.

Local officials of the ministry in the mentioned provinces emphasized their commitment to thoroughly addressing public complaints.

They stated that, following the receipt of petitions from affected women, the cases were carefully reviewed based on the rulings of Islamic law and in full compliance with established principles and procedures. As a result, the Sh/ar/ia rights of the female complainants in matters of dowry and inheritance were secured.

It is worth noting that this process has taken place while, over the past month, nearly one hundred other women have also gained access to their Sh/ar/ia rights in the areas of inheritance and dowry as a result of the efforts of the ministry’s personnel(Muhtasibs).
