Rescued 11 women from domestic violence in the provinces of Paktika, Takhar, Badghis, Parwan, Ghazni, Nimroz, and Badakhshan
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Paktika, Takhar, Badghis, Badakhshan, Parwan, Ghazni, and Nimroz, following the receipt of public reports, identified 11 women who had been subjected to domestic violence for many years and placed them under Sh/ar/ia-based protection.
These women, who had been deprived of their Sh/ar/ia rights as a result of prolonged domestic abuse, were rescued from violent situations through the efforts of the ministry’s personnel (Muhtasibs), and their legitimate rights were restored.
Furthermore, the ministry’s personnel in the aforementioned provinces summoned the husbands and relatives of these women to the provincial departments of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
After conducting comprehensive investigations and providing religious guidance and recommendations regarding the observance of women’s Sh/ar/ia rights, they obtained written commitments from them to refrain in the future from any behavior contrary to Is/la/mic teachings and from committing acts of violence against their wives and daughters.
