Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Takhar, Ghazni, and Balkh identified five women who had been subjected to domestic violence for many years and provided them with support and protection in accordance with Is/la/mic law.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in the aforementioned provinces stated that these women had been deprived of there is/la/mic rights for years due to the continuation of domestic violence. However, following a comprehensive review of their cases and the adoption of necessary measures in light of the rulings of Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia, their legitimate rights were restored, and the conditions for a safe and dignified life were provided for them.
The Ministry’s officials in the said provinces emphasized that addressing public complaints, safeguarding women’s Is/la/mic rights, and preventing all forms of injustice are among their fundamental responsibilities. They further stated that efforts in this regard will continue on a sustained basis.
