Rescue of 15 women from domestic violence in Takhar, Zabul, Farah, and Maidan Wardak provinces

Inspectors (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing Complaints of IEA, in Zabul, Farah, Maidan Wardak, and Takhar provinces have ensured the rights of 15 women who had been deprived of there is/la/mic legal rights and were facing problems due to harmful traditional practices.
According to the inspectors, these women had been suffering from domestic oppression, denial of financial support (Nafaqah), psychological and physical abuse, and other similar harmful incidents. Through the efforts of the inspectors, they were rescued and granted their rightful protections.
Inspectors (Muhtasibs) further stated that they are fully committed to ensuring women receive there is/la/mic legal rights and will not allow anyone to violate those rights.
It is worth mentioning that the ministry’s inspectors have handled thousands of cases related to women’s rights across the country, including cases involving inheritance disputes, domestic violence, excessive bride price (walwar), giving women in forced marriage settlements
