The Muhtasibs of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, demonstrating commitment to women’s rights and in accordance with the six-article decree issued by His Excellency Am/ir al/Mu/mi/nin, handed over the Sh/ar/ia-based inheritance and dowry rights of 15 women in the provinces of Takhar, Helmand, Sar-e Pol, and Faryab.

Officials (Muhtasibs) stated that these women had long been seeking their inheritance and dowry rights from their brothers and relatives, but despite many efforts, they had been unable to obtain their legitimate Is/lam/ic rights. Through the efforts of the Muhtasibs, they were finally able to receive their rightful entitlements.

Officials (Muhtasibs) further added that they will continue striving with full commitment to ensure the protection and delivery of all Sh/ar/ia-based rights of women and will not allow anyone to engage in violent or abusive behavior against women
