Prevention of a forced marriage of a woman and facilitation of a lawful marriage for a young woman in the provinces of Ghazni and Nangarhar
Personnel (Muhtasibs) from the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Ghazni and Nangarhar have taken effective steps to safeguard the religious rights of women.
In this regard, the ministry’s staff (Muhtasibs) successfully prevented a case of forced marriage in Nangarhar Province, while also facilitating a lawful Sh/ar/.ia marriage for a young couple in Ghazni Province.
Officials (Muhtasibs) from the ministry in the mentioned provinces stated that such actions are part of their ongoing efforts to support the religious rights of women, prevent harmful traditional practices, including forced marriages and promote a culture of marriage based on Isl,am/ic values. According to them, the ministry’s representatives work closely with families, religious scholars, and community elders to help ensure the necessary conditions for proper and healthy marriages.
It is worth noting that these efforts reflect the commitment of the leadership of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of to protecting women’s religious rights and implementing Isl.am.ic principles in society.
They also demonstrate the institution’s continued efforts toward social reform and strengthening religious values across the country.
