Personnel of the Ministry rescued two women from forced marriages in Khost and Zabul provinces
Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, in line with the implementation of the rulings of Islamic Sharia, addressing public complaints, and preventing oppression and violence against women, prevented two cases of forced marriage involving young women in the provinces of Khost and Zabul.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in the aforementioned provinces stated that these cases were investigated after complaints were received from the affected individuals.
Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry held reformative, advisory, and awareness-raising meetings, calling on the families to observe the rulings of Islamic Sharia, protect the legitimate Islamic rights of women, and ensure the consent of both parties to the marriage contract.
As a result, two forced marriages were prevented, and an opportunity was provided for one young couple to marry in accordance with the rulings of Islamic Sharia and with the consent of both parties.
