In Parwan Province, continuing their efforts to safeguard women's Islamic rights, the officials (Muhtasibs) rescued a woman in the Dehn-e-Maidan area of Bagram District who had reportedly been subjected to physical abuse and domestic violence by her family members for the past five years.

According to the Muhtasibs, the woman had been kept under house confinement for the past five years and had been deprived of all of her Islamic legal rights. Following her rescue, she was able to enjoy and exercise those rights.

The Muhtasibs reaffirmed their commitment to defending women's Islamic rights to the fullest extent and to preventing harmful customs and practices that threaten or violate those rights.
