One sorcerer was arrested in Kabul Province
Officials (Muhtasibs) from the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, following the receipt of numerous public complaints, identified and arrested an individual accused of practicing sorcery along with books and tools related to witchcraft activities in the area of the Second Security District of Kabul City. Officials from the Urban Directorate of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue stated during the arrest of the alleged sorcerer that, based on the documents and evidence obtained, the individual had been misleading a number of citizens by engaging in acts contrary to Is/lam/ic principles and promoting superstitions.
After public complaints were registered and the necessary investigations and inquiries were carried out, the suspect was brought under legal prosecution.
Officials(Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints once again emphasized that the serious fight against sorcery, superstitions, and any acts contrary to Is/lam/ic values remains one of their fundamental priorities, and no individual will be allowed to harm religious beliefs and the intellectual well-being of society through such practices.
