Nearly 10 tons of expired food items were identified and destroyed in Zabul province
Inspector (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in light of their religious responsibilities and with the aim of safeguarding public health and preventing fraud, hoarding, and the sale of low-quality and expired goods, collected ten tons of substandard food items and spices from the markets of this province.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in this province stated that this action was carried out within the framework of the inspectors’ regular monitoring programs, with the purpose of promoting virtuous practices, preventing wrongdoing, and ensuring public health, so as to prevent any form of deception or fraud in commercial transactions. The collected food items and spices, after necessary inspections, were officially destroyed in the presence of a committee composed of relevant authorities, in accordance with religious guidelines, to prevent any potential risks or threats to the health and safety of the citizens.
