In Kunduz, muhtasibs held a meeting with religious scholars and tribal elders to prevent harmful traditional practices

Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Department for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, in Kunduz Province held a meeting with religious scholars, tribal elders, and youth representatives to discuss the prevention of harmful social customs, the protection of women’s rights, the preservation of Islamic values, and the implementation of the decrees of the Honoreble Am,ir. al. Mu/mi/ni/n.

During the meeting, the department’s officials (Muhtasibs) described the role of religious scholars, tribal elders, and youth as vital in reforming society, implementing Sh/ar/.ia, and enforcing laws.

They urged them to cooperate with the muhtasibs through various means in raising public awareness and preventing harmful traditions in society. Likewise, the religious scholars, tribal elders, and youth representatives stated that working toward eliminating immoral practices, preventing violence against women, and strengthening religious values in society is both their religious and national responsibility.

They also pledged to work together for the healthy development of an Is,la/mic society.

It is worth mentioning that provincial officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing Complaints regularly hold reform-oriented meetings with religious scholars, tribal elders, and youth in order to improve public awareness, protect women’s rights, and address other social issues.

These efforts, according to the ministry, have brought noticeable progress in promoting virtue and preventing vice in society.
