Inspectors held meetings with religious scholars and community elders in five provinces to prevent harmful social customs
Inspectors of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in Kabul, Khost, Paktia, Samangan, and Takhar provinces held coordination meetings with local officials, religious scholars, tribal elders, and youth representatives. The meetings focused on enhancing the implementation of the Ministry's law, strengthening coordination, and preventing harmful social customs within society.
During the meetings, participants discussed the implementation, enforcement, and effectiveness of the laws of the Is/la/mic system. They emphasized that the Afghan people had made great sacrifices for the establishment and preservation of the Is/la/mic system and stressed that, in recognition of those sacrifices, the principles and laws of Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia should be implemented sincerely and in their true spirit.
Participants also exchanged views on ways to eliminate harmful social practices and improve public awareness. They presented recommendations, proposals, and coordination initiatives aimed at strengthening community cooperation in this regard.
At the conclusion of the meetings, participants pledged to continue working together to support the implementation of Islamic Sharia rulings, promote social reform, and ensure the effective enforcement of Sharia-based laws.
