Four tons of low-quality and expired food products were collected from markets in Zabul Province

As a result of monitoring and inspection efforts in the markets of Zabul Province, personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, collected four tons of low-quality and expired food products.

After the completion of the required legal procedures, the items were destroyed in the presence of a committee representing the relevant government institutions.

Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry's Directorate in Zabul stated that the purpose of these efforts is to prevent the distribution of harmful food products and to safeguard public health. They emphasized that market inspections and the monitoring of food quality will continue on a regular basis.

During a meeting with local traders and shopkeepers, ministry personnel (Muhtasibs) highlighted the importance of adhering to Islamic principles in trade and business practices.

They stressed that selling harmful products and deceiving customers in commercial transactions are inconsistent with religious and ethical values, and that all traders and vendors are obliged to uphold honesty and trustworthiness in meeting the needs of the public.

Meanwhile, residents of Zabul Province welcomed the market inspection activities carried out by the ministry's personnel (Muhtasibs) and called for the continuation of these inspections to help prevent the sale of low-quality food products.
