Four individuals accused of practicing sorcery were arrested by ministry inspectors in Parwan and Faryab provinces
Inspectors (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Parwan and Faryab provinces have arrested four individuals accused of practicing sorcery.
According to the report, these individuals allegedly created discord and problems among families under the names of spiritual healing and amulets, and carried out harmful acts of magic and witchcraft in exchange for money taken from women.
They were arrested along with numerous books related to sorcery and non-Is/la/mic amulets.
Officials (Muhtasibs) stated that the four allegedly dangerous sorcerers were apprehended together with their tools of witchcraft.
They are accused of taking money from women under the pretext of solving family problems and engaging in unlawful practices. The suspects will be referred to judicial and legal authorities for further investigation.
The inspectors (Muhtasibs) also emphasized that they will not allow anyone to carry out superstitious or un-Is/la/mic practices in society. They called on the public to cooperate with inspectors in eliminating such harmful phenomena.
This comes as the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, has continued its campaign against alleged sorcery practices.
