Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, have comprehensively addressed five legal inheritance cases involving women in Belcheragh District of Faryab Province, as part of efforts to ensure women's Sh/ar/ia-based rights and respond to public complaints.
According to officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in Faryab Province, these women had been seeking their inheritance rights for many years but continually faced opposition from their brothers. Eventually, they approached the (Muhtasib) Directorate in Belcheragh District and requested the enforcement of their legitimate Is/la/mic inheritance rights.
After receiving the formal complaints, the (Muhtasibs) summoned the brothers and advised them to pay their sisters' inheritance shares in full, in accordance with Is/la/mic law and without any reduction.
The brothers subsequently pledged to hand over the inheritance shares allocated to their sisters under Sh/ar/ia.
