Eight Sharia-related cases concerning women's dowry (mahr) and inheritance were addressed in three provinces

Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, as part of their efforts to safeguard women's Sharia rights and address public complaints, have comprehensively handled eight legal cases concerning women's mahr (Dowry) and inheritance rights in the provinces of Takhar, Ghor, and Nangarhar.

The Ministry's personnel (Muhtasibs) in these provinces stated that, following complaints submitted by the affected women, the cases were carefully examined in accordance with the provisions of Islamic Sharia and in full compliance with the relevant procedures and guidelines.

As a result, the complainants' Sharia rights relating to Mahr and inheritance were upheld, and their lawful entitlements were fully restored.

It is worth noting that these cases are being addressed following similar efforts over the past month, during which nearly 400 women were able to obtain their Sharia rights in matters of inheritance, mahr, and maintenance (Nafaqah)
