Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, have comprehensively addressed eight legal cases involving women's rights related to inheritance, divorce, and dowry (Mahr) in the provinces of Ghazni, Ghor, and Takhar, with the aim of ensuring women's Sh/ar/ia-based rights and responding to public complaints.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the ministry in the aforementioned provinces stated that these cases were carefully reviewed after receiving complaints from affected women.
The investigations were conducted in accordance with the provisions of Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia and in full compliance with the principles, procedures, and regulations governing the hearing of complaints.
As a result, the complainants' rights concerning dowry, divorce, and inheritance were secured, and their legitimate Sh/ar/ia-based rights were fully restored.
It is worth noting that this process of handling such cases comes at a time when, during the past month alone, nearly two hundred other women have also been able to obtain their Sh/ar/ia-based rights in matters of inheritance and dowry through the efforts of the personnel of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints.
