In Baghlan, as part of their continued efforts to protect women’s Sharia-based rights, Muhtasibs rescued a woman from Farang District who had been subjected to physical abuse, domestic oppression and violence by her family members for the past three months.

The officials (Muhtasibs) stated that the woman had been kept under domestic confinement for the past three months and had been deprived of all her Sharia-based rights.

After being rescued by the Muhtasibs, she was able to exercise and benefit from her Sharia-based rights.

The Muhtasibs assured that they would continue to defend women’s Sharia-based rights to the best of their ability and work to prevent harmful practices and traditions that threaten women’s rights under Sharia.
