Arrest of two individuals accused of sorcery by personnel of the ministry in Kabul and Faryab provinces
Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in an effort to safeguard Islamic values, combat un-Islamic practices, and address public grievances, have arrested two individuals accused of practicing sorcery in the provinces of Kabul and Faryab.
In Kabul province, officials from the ministry, operating in the 15th security district of the city, identified and detained an individual who had reportedly been secretly engaged in acts of sorcery for many years, following complaints from local residents.Similarly, in Qaisar district of Faryab province, inspectors from the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue arrested another individual, known as a prominent practitioner of sorcery, while he was allegedly performing magical acts.
He was apprehended along with books and documents related to these activities, based on credible reports from local residents.
Officials of the ministry in both provinces stated that the detained individuals, through actions contrary to Is.lam.ic law, had caused family disputes, weakened religious beliefs, and extracted large sums of money from people.
