11 Sh/ar/ia related cases concerning women's inheritance rights were addressed in Faryab and Baghlan provinces
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Faryab and Baghlan provinces, in line with their commitment to protecting women's rights and pursuant to the six-article decree issued by His Excellency the Am/ir al/Mu/min/in, have facilitated the transfer of the Is/la/mic inheritance rights of 11 women whose inheritance disputes with their brothers had remained unresolved for a long time.
According to officials (Muhtasibs), these women had been seeking their inheritance rights from their brothers and relatives for many years.
Despite extensive efforts, they had been unable to obtain their lawful shares. Through the efforts of the ministry's inspectors, they were finally able to receive their legitimate inheritance rights.
Officials (Muhtasibs) further stated that they will continue to work diligently to ensure that all women receive there is/la/mic legal rights and that no one will be allowed to engage in violence or abusive behavior against women.
It is worth noting that, according to the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints, its officials (Muhtasibs) have rescued hundreds of women across the country from domestic violence, unlawful confinement in the home, non-Sh/ar/ia-compliant marriages, and suicide.
The ministry also states that it has helped hundreds of women obtain their lawful inheritance rights.
