27women were freed from domestic violence in seven provinces
Following efforts and the handling of public complaints by officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Baghlan, Takhar, Laghman, Badakhshan, Parwan, Kapisa, and Ghor, 27 women were rescued from domestic violence, and all their Sharia-based rights were ensured.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue in the aforementioned provinces said that these cases were comprehensively investigated after the affected women filed complaints and approached the provincial offices of the ministry.
During the process, statements from both parties were heard, and the parties were provided with the necessary guidance and awareness regarding the rights and responsibilities that Islamic Sharia prescribes for husbands and wives.
As a result of these efforts, further violence and mistreatment against the women was prevented, and a number of family disputes were resolved through mutual understanding and reconciliation.
The provincial officials of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue also described addressing public complaints, preventing violence against women, promoting virtue, preventing wrongdoing, ensuring the legitimate rights of citizens, and resolving disputes through reconciliation as among the religious responsibilities of the ministry's officials.
They emphasized that efforts to address people's problems, prevent injustice, uphold Islamic justice, strengthen the family institution, ensure citizens' legitimate rights, and safeguard Islamic values will continue in accordance with the principles of Islamic Sharia.
