In Uruzgan, Muhtasibs rescued four women from oppression
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Department for the Promotion of Virtue in Uruzgan Province rescued four women in the provincial capital, Tarinkot, and Charchino District who had endured prolonged mistreatment and severe domestic violence at the hands of their husbands and families.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the department stated that, among these women, some had been living in their parental homes for a long time and remained without a clear future due to the abusive treatment of their husbands.
Through the efforts of the Officials (Muhtasibs), they were reunited with their husbands and enabled to receive their Sh/ar/ia rights
It is worth noting that the Muhtasibs of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, have rescued thousands of women from domestic abuse, forced marriages, and unlawful confinement in their homes as part of their efforts to safeguard women's rights and prevent practices contrary to Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia.
They have also ensured that thousands of women received their Sh/ar/ia rights, including inheritance, maintenance (Nafaqah), dower (Mahr), and the right to marry by their own free choice.
