Facilitation of the Sharia-compliant marriage of one girl and prevention of three cases of forced marriage involving women in the provinces of Sar-e Pol, Ghazni, Faryab, and Kabul
Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Sar-e Pol, Ghazni, Faryab, and Kabul, as part of efforts to protect and uphold the Is/la/mic legal rights of women, successfully prevented three forced marriages in the provinces of Sar-e Pol, Faryab, and Ghazni.
They also facilitated the conditions for the lawful Is/la/mic marriage of a young woman in Farza District of Kabul Province.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in the aforementioned provinces stated that these measures were carried out within the framework of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to support women’s legitimate Is/la/mic rights, prevent forced marriages, and promote a culture of marriage in accordance with the principles of Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia and religious values.
They added that inspectors (Muhtasibs), in cooperation with families, religious scholars, and local elders, work to create the necessary conditions for lawful Is/la/mic marriages.
It is noteworthy that these efforts reflect the commitment and sense of responsibility of the leadership and personnel of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints in safeguarding women’s Is/la/mic legal rights, strengthening Is/lam/ic values, and implementing the principles of Sh/ar/ia within society.
