Rescue of six women from domestic violence and family abuse in three provinces
Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Nangarhar, Takhar, and Baghlan conducted a comprehensive review of six cases involving women who had endured family oppression and abuse for many years, with the aim of ensuring Is/la/mic justice, implementing Is/la//mic rulings, and safeguarding the Sh/ar/ia-based rights of women.
These cases were investigated following the receipt of public reports and through thorough and comprehensive assessments carried out in close coordination with religious scholars and community elders. As a result, all of the women concerned were rescued from situations of violence, and their Sh/ar/ia-prescribed rights were secured.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints in the aforementioned provinces emphasize that safeguarding the Sh/ar/ia-based rights of women and preventing all forms of oppression and domestic violence in accordance with Is/lam/ic teachings are among their fundamental priorities.
They further stress that no individual or group will be permitted to commit acts of oppression or violence against women in violation of the principles of Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia.
