In Ghazni, through the efforts of the muhtasibs, 14 women were rescued from various forms of abuses
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing Complaints of IEA, in Ghazni Province rescued 14 women from various forms of abuse in the districts of Ab Band, Jaghori, Gelan, Waghaz, and Andar.
The efforts were aimed at ensuring women’s rights and preventing harmful practices against them.
According to the provincial Muhtasibs, these women had been subjected to physical and psychological violence by their families for the past ten years and were also mistreated by their in-laws. Through the efforts of the Muhtasibs, they were rescued from these abusive situations. Officials (Muhtasibs) further stated that they are fully committed to ensuring women receive there is,la/m,ic and legal rights and will not allow anyone to violate those rights.
It is worth mentioning that during the past month, the ministry’s officials (Muhtasibs) across the country addressed hundreds of cases related to women’s rights, including inheritance disputes, domestic violence, bride price issues, giving women in bad marriages (“Baad”), and non-Sh/ar/ia-compliant marriages, many of which were resolved successfully.
