Rescue of 13 women from domestic violence in the provinces of Zabul, Takhar, Faryab, Parwan, and Nangarhar

Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Zabul, Takhar, Faryab, Parwan, and Nangarhar, following public reports, identified 13 women who had been subjected to domestic violence over many years and placed them under Sh/ar/.ia-based protection.

These women, who had been deprived of their legal Sh/ar/.ia rights due to ongoing domestic abuse, were rescued from violent situations through the efforts of the ministry’s personnel, and their rights were restored.Additionally, the ministry’s personnel (Muhtasibs) in the aforementioned provinces summoned the husbands and relatives of these women to the offices of the Promotion of Virtue.

After thorough review and providing religious guidance and recommendations regarding the  observance of women’s Sh/ar/.ia rights, written commitments were obtained from them to refrain in the future from any behavior contrary to Islamic principles and from committing acts of violence against their wives and daughters.
