In 8 provinces, officials rescued 20 women from various forms of oppression

Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing Complaints of IEA,in the provinces of Paktika, Faryab, Nimroz, Kapisa, Baghlan, Farah, Nangarhar, and Kunar have ensured the rights of 20 women and prevented harmful practices in this regard.

These women, who had been facing difficulties due to harmful customs and had been deprived of their Sh/ar/,ia rights, have now been granted those rights.

According to the Muhtasibs, these women had been subjected to mistreatment for a long time by their families based on harmful traditions and unfounded notions of honor, and had been deprived of all their legitimate rights. Through the efforts of the Muhtasibs, they have now been rescued.

The Muhtasibs further stated that they are fully committed to ensuring women receive their Sh/ar,/ia rights and will not allow anyone to violate these rights. It is worth mentioning that the Muhtasibs of this Ministry have handled thousands of cases across the country related to women’s rights, including cases of inheritance, domestic violence,
