14 women were rescued from domestic violence across the provinces of Balkh, Ghor, Maidan Wardak, Nimroz, and Uruzgan

Officials of the Ministry of Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Balkh, Ghor, Maidan Wardak, Nimroz, and Uruzgan, following the receipt of public reports, identified 14 women who had been subjected to domestic violence over many years and placed them under Sh.ar.ia-based protection.

These women, who had been deprived of their Sharia rights due to the continuation of domestic violence, were rescued from abusive situations as a result of the efforts of the ministry’s officials, and conditions were created for them to benefit from their Sharia rights.

However, the ministry officials, while addressing these cases, emphasized their full commitment to ensuring women’s Sh.ar.ia rights and stated that they would not allow anyone to violate women’s rights or commit oppression against them.

It is also worth mentioning that in the past two months, the ministry’s officials across the country have addressed hundreds of cases related to women’s Sh.ar.ia rights, including inheritance, domestic violence, dowry (mahr), and forced marriages, and have resolved all of them through
