In Helmand and Zabul provinces of the country, 11 women were rescued from various forms of oppression

Inspectors (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints  of IEA,in Helmand and Zabul provinces ensured the provision of women’s rights and, in an effort to prevent harmful practices, supported 11 women who had been facing problems due to harmful traditions and had been deprived of their Sh.ar.ia rights, enabling them to benefit from those rights.

According to the inspectors, these women had for a long time been subjected to mistreatment by their families based on harmful customs and baseless notions of honor, and had been deprived of all their Sh.ar.ia rights.                                          Through the efforts of the inspectors, they were rescued.

The inspectors added that they are fully committed to ensuring women’s Sh.ar.ia rights and will not allow anyone to violate or undermine those rights.
