In Nangarhar, officials of the Ministry destroyed five tons of expired food products

In Nangarhar province, officials (Muhtasibs) in cooperation with relevant government institutions, collected and destroyed nearly five tons of expired food and non-food items as part of efforts to control market prices, prevent usury and hoarding, and eliminate expired and substandard products.

During inspections of commercial areas and shops, conducted in coordination with the relevant government institutions, muhtasibs collected and destroyed approximately five tons of expired and substandard food and non-food items.

At the same time, during reform-oriented meetings with traders and shopkeepers, muhtasibs emphasized the need to refrain from usury, hoarding, cheating in weighing and measuring, and all other practices that contradict Islamic principles.

They also stressed the importance of offering quality and standardized goods in the market and preventing fraud in this sector.

It is worth noting that, as part of their ongoing activities across the country, muhtasibs regularly hold meetings with traders and shopkeepers to help prevent harmful practices in this area. Their efforts in this regard continue.
