Four Women Rescued from Domestic Violence in Khost and Maidan Wardak Provinces
Four women in the provinces of Khost and Maidan Wardak, who had reportedly endured years of domestic violence, abuse, and oppression, were rescued from their abusive situations through the efforts and follow-up of personnel (Muhtasibs) from the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, and their rights under Is/la/mic law were secured.
Local officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in Khost and Maidan Wardak stated that, after receiving complaints and conducting comprehensive investigations into the cases, the Ministry's personnel (Muhtasibs), in coordination with the relevant authorities, took the necessary measures to put an end to the domestic violence and facilitate the protection of the women's rights under Is/la/mic law, enabling them to live in safety.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints emphasized that addressing complaints, preventing abuse and oppression, resolving disputes, and safeguarding the rights of the people under Is/la/mic law particularly those of women are among the Ministry's core responsibilities.
They added that the Ministry's inspectors (Muhtasibs) at both the central and provincial levels continue to work to resolve people's problems in accordance with the principles of Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia.
