Restoration of the legal rights of eight women regarding dowry (Mahr), maintenance (Nafaqah), and inheritance in Faryab Province
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, as part of their efforts to safeguard the Sh/ar/ia rights of women and address public grievances, comprehensively handled eight legal cases involving women's rights related to dowry (Mahr), inheritance, and maintenance (Nafaqah) in Faryab Province.
Officials (Muhtasibs) of the ministry in the province stated that these cases were examined thoroughly after receiving complaints from the affected women.
The investigations were conducted in accordance with the provisions of Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia and in full compliance with the principles, procedures, and the Law on Hearing Complaints.
As a result, the complainants' Sh/ar/ia rights concerning dowry, inheritance, and maintenance were secured, and their lawful rights were fully restored.
It is worth noting that the handling of these cases comes as, over the past three months, nearly one thousand other women have also been able to obtain their Sh/ar/ia rights relating to inheritance, dowry, and maintenance through the efforts of the officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints.
