Handling of seven Sharia-related cases involving women, including matters of inheritance, dowry, and maintenance, in three provinces
Inspectors (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, in the provinces of Takhar, Nimroz, and Ghazni, in line with their commitment to women's rights and in accordance with the six-article decree issued by His Excellency the Am/ir al/Mu/min/in, facilitated the delivery of the Is/la/mic legal rights of seven women, including inheritance, maintenance (Nafaqah), and dowry (Mahr), whose cases had remained unresolved with their brothers and other family members for a long time.
Officials (Muhtasibs) stated that these women had been seeking their inheritance, maintenance, and dowry rights from their brothers and relatives for an extended period.
Despite numerous efforts, they had been unable to obtain their legal rights. Through the efforts of the inspectors, they were ultimately able to receive their rightful entitlements under Is/la/mic law.
The officials (Muhtasibs) further emphasized that they will continue to work diligently to ensure that all women receive their legitimate Is/la/mic rights and that no one will be allowed to engage in violent or abusive behavior against women.
