Rescued 21 women from domestic violence in eight provinces across the country
Inspectors (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing the Complaints of IEA, in Zabul, Takhar, Helmand, Nangarhar, Kunduz, Baghlan, Badakhshan, and Logar provinces ensured that 21 women received their rightful rights and protections.
These women had been facing difficulties due to harmful traditional practices and had been deprived of their legitimate Is/la/mic rights.
According to the inspectors (Muhtasibs), these women were suffering from domestic abuse, denial of financial maintenance (Nafaqah), psychological and physical mistreatment, and other similar forms of harm.
Through the efforts of the inspectors, they were rescued from these situations.
The inspectors (Muhtasibs) further stated that they remain fully committed to safeguarding and ensuring women's legitimate Is/la/mic rights and will not allow anyone to violate or infringe upon those rights.
It is worth noting that the inspectors (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry have handled and resolved thousands of cases related to women's rights across the country.
These cases have included matters concerning inheritance, domestic violence, bride-price (Walwar), giving women in settlement of disputes (Baad), and non-Sh/ar/ia compliant marriages.
