Ministry of Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints – Monthly Report (Month of Saur, 1405)
The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints, in the month of Saur of the current year 1405, in light of Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia rulings and through the implementation of reform programs, has carried out effective and valuable activities aimed at establishing virtues, preventing vices, strengthening Is/la/mic brotherhood, ensuring the Sh/ar/ia rights of the people—especially women—and combating acts contrary to Is/la/mic law. Addressing the Sh/ar/ia Rights of Women
In order to implement Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia rulings and ensure the rights of women, the Ministry’s officials addressed 524 cases related to women’s Sh/ar/ia rights during the month of Saur.
These cases included 280 cases of oppression, 69 inheritance cases, 46 forced marriage cases, 45 dowry cases, 37 cases of non-payment of alimony, 21 cases of facilitating Sharia-compliant marriages for girls, and 26 divorce cases.
Resolving Conflicts and Enmities
To strengthen Is/la/mic brotherhood, solidarity, and social peace, the Ministry resolved 50 long-standing enmities and 240 major and minor disputes between families, tribes, and residents of various regions of the country through Sh/ar/ia-based reconciliation.
Arrest of Sorcerers
In order to protect religious values and safeguard the ideological integrity of society, Ministry officials identified and arrested 54 individuals on charges of sorcery in the capital and several provinces during this month.
Economic Meetings
To prevent hoarding, control prices, stop the sale of low-quality and expired goods, and protect consumers’ rights, the Ministry’s inspectors held 770 reform meetings with traders, industrialists, shopkeepers, and economic actors across various provinces.
In addition, more than twenty tons of low-quality and expired food items were collected from markets and destroyed after completing legal procedures.
Public Meetings
With the aim of promoting virtues, preventing vices, and raising public awareness, the Ministry held 1,648 reform meetings across the country during the month of Saur, with the participation of religious scholars, tribal elders, youth, and various segments of society.
