14 women rescued from domestic violence in Nangarhar, Takhar, Ghazni, Badakhshan, Paktia, Balkh, and Daikundi provinces

Personnel of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints in the provinces of Takhar, Balkh, Nangarhar, Badakhshan, Paktia, Ghazni, and Daikundi conducted comprehensive investigations into 14 cases related to women who had suffered from domestic violence for many years, with the aim of ensuring justice, implementing Islamic rulings, and protecting the legitimate rights of women.  These cases were addressed following the receipt of public reports, thorough investigations, and close cooperation with religious scholars and tribal elders. As a result, the women concerned were freed from violent situations, and their legal and human rights were secured.
Additionally, the personnel of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue held reformative and advisory meetings with the families involved in these cases in the mentioned provinces, emphasizing the observance of women’s religious and human rights.
Officials of the Ministry stated that the holy religion of Islam is a religion of mercy, justice, and fairness, and that it rejects all forms of abuse and oppression, especially within the family environment.
