The inheritance and dowry rights of six women were secured in the provinces of Sar-e Pol, Nimroz, Takhar, Ghazni, and Panjshir
Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in light of the rulings of Is/la/mic Sh/ar/ia and within the framework of ensuring the legitimate rights of women and fairly addressing public complaints, have comprehensively handled six women’s Sh/ar/ia related cases concerning inheritance and dowry (Mahr) in the provinces of Sar-e Pol, Nimroz, Takhar, Ghazni, and Panjshir. Officials (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry in the mentioned provinces emphasized the principle of justice, the protection of women’s Sh/ar/ia rights, and the proper handling of public complaints.
They stated that after receiving complaints from affected women, the cases were thoroughly investigated in accordance with the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
As a result, the women complainants received their legitimate Sh/ar/ia rights in the areas of dowry and inheritance.
The officials further stressed that the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints remains committed to safeguarding the Sh/ar/ia rights of the people, especially women, and that efforts in this regard will continue.
The handling of these women’s Sh/ar/ia-related cases comes at a time when, over the past month, nearly 70 other women have also succeeded in obtaining their legitimate Sh/ar/ia rights in the areas of inheritance and dowry as a result of the continuous efforts and follow-up by the Ministry’s personnel.
