Muhtasibs in Nimruz, Balkh, and Ghor Provinces granted three women their Sh.ar.ia rights concerning inheritance, dowry, and marriage
Personnel (Muhtasibs) of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Hearing of Complaints of IEA, in Baghlan, Ghor, and Nimroz provinces, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure women’s Sh/ar/.ia rights, have addressed three legal and religious cases concerning women.
These cases included the resolution of one inheritance case, one dowry case, and one marriage case.
Following necessary investigations and Sh/ar/.ia-based mediation conducted by the personnel of the Ministry, the women’s rights were secured in accordance with the principles of Is,la,mic Sh/ar/.ia.Officials of the Ministry in the mentioned provinces stated that, through reformative and advisory approaches, as well as coordination with families and local elders, the Ministry’s personnel were able to resolve these cases peacefully
The officials further emphasized that responding to public complaints, addressing women’s Sh/ar/.ia-related cases, and ensuring Is,la,mic justice are among their fundamental responsibilities, and efforts in this regard will continue
Meanwhile, religious scholars, tribal elders, and local residents also welcomed the timely handling of these cases and described the role of the Ministry’s personnel (Muhtasibs) in resolving disputes and ensuring women’s Sh/ar/.ia rights as important
